小川潤平の著書「執行官物語」を原案とする本作は、情け容赦なく財産、金品、不動産などを差し押さえたり没収する国家公務員・執行官の世界を描くお仕事ドラマ。主人公・吉野ひかりは憧れだったペット関連の仕事に就くが、その会社がある日執行を受けて倒産してしまう。だが執行官の小原樹はひかりの「犬にものすごく好かれる」能力に目をつけ、彼女を“執行補助者”の道に引きずり込む。こうしてひかりは、犬だけが大の苦手だという小原と凸凹コンビを結成することになる。
